Yep, they don't.  Async events work still which is good.

Other immediate problems - same as when I last reported them, open a
document play it, create a new document, play it and the last document
plays out.  I think a temp something or other wasn't getting cleared.

No, and weirdness can happen.  SonataC for example - play it, open
notation (sync goes),  stop,play again and only the first track plays
for some reason.

Yes, when I have some time (hopefully tomorrow) I'll get stuck in with
the rest of the sequencer interaction, check recording, check audio
(which I'm pretty sure will be screwed) and start moving the other
bits and bobs (metronome, filtering to go down to sequencer).

But yeah, a good start.
