So have I, with both 1.0rc1 and cvs, but I still get correct results for both.

After installing 1.0rc1 and after installing cvs, what results do you get from:
find $KDEDIR -path '*roseg*' '!' -perm -700 -type f -exec cat '{}' \; | md5sum
