Have you tried printing the score to Postscript yet ?

I've been using 2.6 for a year or so and it works very well for RG + audio.

Yes, that's an idea.
We could at least put a warning in the FAQ about printing in PDF using gs
or perhaps make Postscript the default in the print dialog.
As you say, we can't deprecate Qt 3.1.2 yet.
