Last week someone posted on a KDE mailing list a ref to bksys, a set of scons
extensions for KDE : http://www.opengl.ch/projects/bksys.html
I had already looked at scons for an alternative to the auto* tools, but it
lacked a few features to work for our case. bksys is exactly what was
missing, so I gave it a quick try and in about half a day I had RG building
through it (almost - but what's left is systematic #include "foo.moc" in the
relevant .cpp, and some configure management). So I've committed the
SConscript files I did. Download scons and bksys if you want to give them a
try, eventually I hope to ditch the autotools once and for all and use only
scons.
