what was missing, so I gave it a quick try and in about half a day I had RG building through it (almost - but what's left is systematic #include "foo.moc" in the relevant .cpp, and some configure management). So I've committed the SConscript files I did. Download scons and bksys if you want to give them a try, eventually I hope to ditch the autotools once and for all and use only scons.
Good, I read something about that myself and meant to mention it to you. I'll take a look.
Sorry, forgot a basic howto :
- download and install scons - download and untar bksys
- in bksys, run ./configure. This should generate a config.py, copy that over the one in RG (of course this will go away)
- in RG, just run 'scons'. It should build all until the final link where it will fail because of missing moc object files (come to think of it, it should also fail to link the sequencer, I don't think I committed the #include "rosegardensequencer.moc" at the end of rosegardensequencer.cpp).
Note that scons offers ccache-like facilities out of the box.
