Something to bear in mind with all this is that Pedro intends to do, and we have reached a concensus regarding some reworking to move the Rosegarden instrument away from the track, and into the segment, so every segment will be able to have its own instrument, but not its own channel. He's planning to make channel a track level property, dissociated from the instrument, in a new track parameters box that will contain other factors yet to be finalized. It all sounds likely to pose special difficulties for your proposal to use more than one channel per Rosegarden instrument for special guitar effects. I suggest you two might want to take this up with him, to avoid a future train wreck. -- D.
