I've only really been working on this MatrixVelocity stuff to understand what to do with the control rulers generally. My Grandad used to watch snooker (that's like pool only harder) on a black-and-white TV; you can deal with lack of colour given context. I think a ruler plus colour for the elements for velocity is a good solution.
