(Sorry for the late response - I just read your message.)  You didn't
say where your QT files were installed.  If it helps, on Fedora 17 I do:
QTDIR=/usr ./configure

(I believe that's the same as using '--with-qtlibdir=/usr'.)  (My
qt-devel header files are under /usr/include/Qt and qt lib files are
under /usr/lib64.
