Can you save the file you're working on and mail a copy directly to me? (If you send it to the list, it won't make it.) Like David, I can't repeat any weird behavior with the magic number 48. Changing the composition length to 48 prevents you from doing anything like what you're describing, so I assume that explanation is out. 12.12.25 is a version or two old.
