The Select version of 4.39 (6M) is in the approved list. However, I don't
have that, I have the CD upgrade version which is a 4M not 6M rom. I asked
Paul Middleton what he would charge me for the approved 6M version and he
said that the CD upgrade version would also work.

I've certainly done my best to get an unpatched version. The green screen
menu I get is coming from 4.39 so the rom is working to some extent.

StrongARM.

yes.

OK.

OK, I think. But I have no !Boot on the hd4. How on earth do I get it
there? It could be that I'm really stupid but the manual to me has nothing
to say on this.

Where can I find this self extracting item? Not seen any mention of this
anywhere else.

So assuming I have !boot zipped and in the hosts directory do I copy it
using *copy to the HD4? How do I then unpack it?

*copy hostsfs::????.$.packed-file adfs::HD4.$.packed-file
Seems I don't have enough information even to work out how to use *copy.

I suppose this is where the self extracting bit come in, but if someone
tells me where thing is I hope it has some instructions.

I must be missing some reading somewhere as these very basic essential
points don't appear to be answered in any of the things I've read.

I take your point.

Thanks for your time and help but I'm still pretty stumped.

Cheers,

Bob.
