My leaning would be toward int-area based on the maturiy of the specs. I already have a head start on running code: http://osprey67.com/vet/ http://osprey67.com/seal/ but this is an excellent opportunity for linux, *BSD, etc. enthusiasts who might be interested in developing independent implementations (commercial vendor implementations are also welcome).
