You're welcome, and it's exciting to see rsyslog really come through in the past few years. I started watching/participating a few years ago when it became apparent that you guys were the rising star in actually trying to make a better syslog product, and you've not proven me wrong. > I hope the new format is useful and does not upset too many. The sooner a developer realizes they can't please everyone, the more quickly they can move on and actually get things done. I personally would have preferred a wholesale abandonment of the decades-old heritage, but can appreciate the utility to others and its simplicity. As Torvalds said, "... what's the point of being in charge if you can't pick the bike shed color without holding a referendum on it? So I'm just going all alpha-male, and just renumbering it. You'll like it." _______________________________________________ rsyslog mailing list http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog http://www.rsyslog.com
