They talk about the issue with finger pointing at gcc. There issue still goes unresolved for a year and a half now, but with some workarounds for KVM and other similar virtulization, , but do not necessarily work for OpenVZ due to its lack of less direct access to hardware .
Part of the problem in this case is the application needs the kernel header sources.
