I've actually have this hang every time the init.d script starts, not just after a reboot. I'll be doing some final tests with the older init.d script. We'll see if it resolves it for me and if it does, I'll put together a PR for it and we can see if it helps others with similar issues.

Can you try your test but with a reboot?
