Actually our "Files" section has been under utilised an is not widely
known. In the early days of this group we had spotted 8(1)(j) as one
of the exemptions that PIOs would rely on excessively.

There is a complete legal analysis on state of India's privacy laws in
our Files section, listing many SC decisions. For example in Kharak
Singh v. State of UP

"A man's home is his 'castle' and nothing is more deleterious to a
man's physical happiness and health than an invasion of his privacy"
