Linux runs on MVME23xx/24xx/26xx/27xx/36xx/46xx, MCPx750, and MTX boards.
The kernel is stable and supports at a minimum, ethernet and scsi.
Patches are available for OpenPIC and SMP support. Work is being done on
VME (Univ. 2) support and cPCI backplane networking. Booting out of
onboard flash even works but is not yet available outside of Motorola.

Lots of people run Linux on a variety of MCG PPC boards.

David's problems have been almost entirely with making his distribution
work which is not a good gauge of whether or not Linux runs on a given
board.

The only real Linux kernel problem I'm aware he had was with the DEC21143
board crashing due to a bug in the SROM on all MCG boards. I already
posted a patch for that to the list.
