I am not sure. I have not got round to patching the fresh kernel with the squash file system yet. I might have to do so later on.....That is the only difference I have detected so far. In the mean time I am trying to test the result of the rtnet built on the fresh kernel. however when starting I get some errors: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/rtnet/sbin# ./rtnet start ./rtnet: line 120: $TDMA_CONFIG: ambiguous redirect vnic0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device SIOCSIFADDR: No such device vnic0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device Waiting for all slaves... Do these look like normal error messages? Intuitively I expect some setup errors but not sure which yet. Any tips as to what to set to? What do the slaves do and if I have none, can I use the loopback 127.0.0.0? The modules at least seem to load without complaint (bit out of lsmod) rtmac 11664 1 tdma rtcfg 40788 0 rt_loopback 2564 1 rt_8139too 13440 0 rtpacket 5760 0 rtipv4 27296 1 rtcfg rtnet 33644 7 tdma,rtmac,rtcfg,rt_loopback,rt_8139too,rtpacket,rtipv4 anything missing?
