Gription Drives are rubber tires found on AM's hi-rail equipment. Scale wheeled
locos don't have them.

I don't have the GP35 but the others run well.

I have a pair of U boats that are DCC equipped and at a running session
back in the spring, they did get several positive comments on their switching
duties. The yard I was 'working' was not level but the units had no difficulty
(although I do like running in pairs). I was grabbing very long cuts of AM and
SHS cars.

The SD60 may run slow but isn't really meant for slow-speed switching although
they, like the 35's, are probably classed as road switchers meaning they may
not do yard work but if there's a siding or spur along the way, they would
certainly work it.

The GP9 is both and will feel at home in a yard. In testing (read that as
layout
not done) the AM Geep did run very slow.

My units are all DCC controlled which does assist greatly in slow control, but I
did think that if a loco itself does not perfrom well as slow speeds, the DCC
may
not help a lot. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it (until proven wrong).
 : )
