I'm giving thought to buying a Putt 0-6-0. Just before Terry Putt acquired the line, there was some experimenting with a NWSL gearbox w/can motor combination. I've heard that Terry has improved on the drive eliminating some of the wobble seen in many of the old Rex engines. If I understand it correctly, Terry has also gone back to a new worm gear drive with a can motor. I'm wondering if anyone out there has seen one run. I'm really curious if the wobble has been reduced and what the low-end speed is like? I intend to do alot of switching and would like that 0-6-0 to crawl when needed. Any other thoughts on a great running steam switcher (other than the Overland 0- 8-0)?
