Happy weekend folks,
The word is out Ted Larson is moving back to the Twin Cities, welcome
back Ted, we are happy to have you return. This has been a fine week
here on the Tundra. I rebuilt a number 10 turnout for Steve and we
reinstalled it on his CB&Q, we are back to running trains. Still a
little more debugging but it is great to see trains running over
there. Steve loaned me his Berkshire so I could photo it for a
sculpting and article I am doing for work. I brought it home
Thursday and we gave it a spin on the Minnesota Heartland. What a
beautiful machine and it has Tsanumi sound which just filled up the
basement with a wonderful sound. I have about forty fee of track
where the track runs in two levels, I had an SHS 2-8-0 pace the Berk,
both with Tsanumi sound and it was very neat. No, my diesel fleet is
not for sale, but that was fun to watch and hear. Later, we went to
Ron Kemp's house and finished putting in some SHS flex track. Ron
has scrapped his Gargraves for the SHS. I think it looks great.
The guys in the club also had first look at the "Fallen Flags of
Minnesota" special run boxcar that I am selling to benefit the
Midwest Railway and Industry Museum. I will post a flyer if anyone
wants to see what we are doing. I will bring a few to any train
events I go to.
Not much else going on around here, have a great week and enjoy.
