I've been thinking about this for awhile also. I couldn't disagree more.

Thanks, Jamie, I've been meaning to say something like that myself.

There are one-off problems and there are problems that may be of general
interest. A few days ago I discovered a defective part in a kit. Naturally
I didn't get on this list and ask who else found that part defective, I just
e-mailed the manufacturer and he said he's send a replacement part.

On the other hand the problem of getting that SHS loco truck apart and
changing wheels is potentially a universal problem, and we may all learn
from various people's solutions. We all now know for instance that those of
us with limited digital dexterity can send it back to SHS and get the wheels
changed for a small fee. I know the theory of getting the truck apart, but
the last time I tried it I couldn't do it. I handed it to a friend and he
got it. And we were working on if for a third person, so that's one out of
three who had the knack to get the think open.

The NWSL wheelset problem may affect others to, so it's good to know right
off that the NWSL wheelset may be assembled wrong, rather than assume NWSL
can do no wrong a try to jam them in.
