Nice plan! One of the positives is the double track around the room,
which gives you the room to run two trains uninterrupted while you do
switching.
If you don't mind a suggestion, extend that spur on the left side of
the layout to the yard and put a crossover where the yard now comes
off the main line. This will give you a nice long switching/industrial
lead where your switch engine can romp without interfering with main
line moves.
Of course, Santa Fe WILL make an appearance there - won't they?
