Yes, that is correct.

It really does not pertain to them.

That is a fact.  No doubt about it.  Yup!  This poll is not an attempt
to be an era modeled popularity questionnaire for everyone.

The results will reflect responses from (1) those who respond, and (2)
those who straddle the border between the transition era and the modern
era.  It will not reflect the interests of modelers who are active in
other eras.  It would appear (to me) that the anonymous manufacturer has
already made his decisions regarding other eras.  That, of course, is an
assumption on my part based on the nature of the poll question.
