If by vintage motive power you mean AF, go ahead, but that's not where the 
problem lies.  If by vintage motive power you mean "scale" gauged to old 
NMRA standards, go ahead, for whatever it might be worth.

The critical area of concern is NASG-gauged scale equipment.  I trust you 
own or will get an NASG track & wheel gauge.  It will not be relevant at the 
frog, but the closure rails still have to have the correct distance from 
their corresponding running rails.
