Hi Don,
I hear what you are saying. Is it close enough? I don't know. As
with everything built by humans, there is a tolerance and therefore a
range. By using the NASG standard, I hope we would be within that
range for all motive power wheel spacing - past, present and future.
As for me, I am faced with a huge decision; whether to do a complete
tear-down/rebuild or just eke along with incremental improvements AND
whether I want to completely divest myself of all vintage and start
over fresh with all modern track, turnouts, motive power and rolling
stock. A complete do-over could cost me $6 - 10K, depending on how
much salvage value I have and how frugal I am at getting it right
this time. So I'll apologize right now if in the process of
agonizing over this, I beat it to death.
Thanks for listening,
