  I think you're right about that, but I haven't totally made up my mind yet on 
era.  I've always bucked the tide (ever tried to model 1890s O scale?), but 
this time I might just go with the flow and have some fun.  The few steamers 
I've seen would fit into the 1940-55 time frame, and diesel switchers are a 
whole lot cheaper.
