The real CSX has done this in two ways in my hometown. First they used
compromise plates that conform to the two rail heights. The base of the
smaller rail is visibly above the heavier - 115# and 132# in this case. This
past year these compromise plates were removed and short sections of cast
rail of two weights were welded in place. These sections are about 10' feet
long and are painted yellow and lettered with the two rail sizes - 115# and
136#. I can post pictures if anyone is interested.

Subject: {S-Scale List} new module mania

Hi All,

As previously mentioned we will have some new S Mod modules under way soon.
Is there anyone else that has been quietly thinking about starting as well?
We could go off line and swap ideas. I don't see myself taking them to a
convention since if I drive there is no room for my wife. But it sure would
be great to have some new modules to run on. The thoughts of making new
modules have been flowing for the past few days for me.

For simplicity I should just use all code 100. But I really would like to
make the mainlines from the SHS code 125 flex track since it is PRR mainline
track. Does anyone know where there is code 125 to code 100 transition rails
available? How did the prototype railroad do this? Do you have a photo?

Thank You,
Bill Lane
