Ed & Folks,
Actually, I think that is a good idea, Ed. Very cool. I want to
legitimately help promote the gauge. Therefore, I took the liberty
of contacting Lee Johnson, the Convention Committee Chairman and made
the $100 proposal for the 2008 annual convention. I referenced your
posting as message #45361 on this S-Scale (Yahoo) List. Lee may be a
member. I did not search the membership listing for him. They can
call the award whatever they want, as long as it is a NASG sponsored
modeling contest for "operating accessories" at the 2008 convention.
If he is interested and if it has merit and if it survives the first
year, then it should be able to fund itself in subsequent years from
entrance fees. Let's see if he is interested. If he is, then I'll
pony up the initial one hundred dollars to the proper current NASG
official for the above-intended use.
S-Happens when we all participate,
Tim Brown
