Ed,
Deal! I wonder if you would be so kind as to follow up with Lee to
legitimize this whole thing sprung on him from an unknown, albeit an
NASG member (me). I'm sure he will know you. I contacted him
directly off the NASG site, so he may not even see my note till
tomorrow at work. Although I imagine he could easily verify my
membership from his desk, I still lack credibility. And yes, I agree
that it should be regulated in such a way as to avoid the possibility
of someone taking easy money at the convention for no real effort.
Let's both hope that Lee or his NASG designee is genuinely interested
in our joint venture. I would like to see the gauge grow in some
measurable way through our efforts. As soon as I hear back from him
in a positive way, I will make good on my donation. I work part-time
at our local YMCA front desk for something to do and also my "train
money", so I have a small stash; some of which I can justify spending
for promoting my interest so that there is more for us all to spend
our money and time enjoying.
