Way to go!
Once Lee Johnson verifies that he has received your $100 for 2008, I
will match it with my own donation for 2009 (the following year).
As long as realism is emphasized so that some jerk cannot simply plunk
down an AF accessory and walk away with the prize money, I will be
happy. I would suggest that your donation be contingent on a set of
rules to insure the prize winning model will be something you would be
proud to have on your own SCALE layout. No need to give hard earned
money away for some toy-like thing that does not meet your heart's
desire. Let NASG write the rules and you approve them before sending
the money.
Welcome to S SCALE, Tim. This is how things get started in this size.
We do it for ourselves since there is no Athearn-type firm to do it for
us.
