I must agree with Jamie on this one...I appreciate that different
people have different opinions on this (and a variety of other
topics) -- some even very strongly held. But they are just that -- a
personal opinion. Reasoned discourse and free speech are hallmarks of
the democracies we live in. So I would oppose anyone imposing their
opinion on the other members of this list. And I guess my view as a
moderator of other Yahoo lists is a much more limited view -- focused
on gentle reminders when folks stray off topic for long periods or
stopping spam, personal attacks or inappropriate topics (we are after
all a family oriented group). While I might personally prefer that
those opinions related to the NASG appear primarily on the
NASGmembers list just like I would prefer that American Flyer
discussion primarily appear on the S-Trains list, it is after all
just a personal preference, and I can always & easily exercise my
option of using the delete key.

Regards
Michael

PS I've always thought of the NASG volunteers (including the BOT) as
a group as being pretty balanced between those interested in scale,
hi-rail and AF topics...I know it certainly takes all of us to
promote our scale...
