There are currently three historical society magazines which all use the same
format. I provided links to all three in message #46608.

All three have now been mentioned individually as well. These web based
magazines are, IMHO, equal to or better than than any of the print magazines
(including the BIG boys) in content, layout and overall quality. As Bill Lane
mentions, the PRR group sells CDs containing the back issues (which are no
longer available free on the web site).

The PRR zine (The Keystone Modeler) is updated monthly, the others are less
regular. I do not directly model any of the three prototype railroads (PRR, B&O
or SCL) but every issue has information I can use. At the moment, the three
also have a large special issue covering the Fruit Growers Express company. I'd
advise anyone interested in steam era railroading to go to one of the sites and
download this tome. It would probably be a $25 book by itself if published in
hard copy.

The ACL/SAL Historical Society web site can be found at:

http://www.aclsal.org/

You'll need Adobe Reader (there is a download link if you don't have
it) as the articles are in PDF format.
