Folks use the term S Guage because they are sloppy spellers, do not use a
spell-checker., or have added "Guage" as acceptable when the spell-checker
questioned it. "Guage" would be pronounced gwajhe or maybe gwahzzh; it's
hard to phoneticize.
Gage is an acceptable variant spelling of gauge, though some reserve gage
for a measuring device. With either spelling, it rhymes with page or sage.
