Welcome, Bill.
The AM cars are incorrect but, I believe the name is Laser Horizons does
laser cut correct sides for the CNR 1954 CC&F coaches. Jamie Bothwell knows
the correct name of the manufacturer if I got it wrong.
There is a lot of CNR stuff that has been produced and can be still had.
Some of it is regular stock and some is limited runs. I did an article on
the availability of S scale CNR stuff for the CNR SIG Lines Magazine a
couple of years ago. I can dig it out and email it to you if you like.
Presently you can get resin kits of a couple of versions of CNR Fowler cars
and a CNR wood caboose, (a laser wood kit may be out soon). AM has a plug
door boxcar lettered in the leaf. SHS has had the following cars out in CNR
schemes, wood reefer in Maple Leaf(rare), rebuilt steel boxcar Maple Leaf
(still available from some dealers), panel side hopper in pre 1957 lettering
and really cool ore cars in the 1959/60's scheme. Very rare are a set of 70
foot HWT passenger cars released by SHS/AM in the 1954 scheme. None of the
HWT 70 passenger cars are accurate for CNR.
There have been some steam loco brass kits avaialble. There was a CNR Mogul
kit from S Scale Loco & Supply and a CNR K-3 Pacific kit from M.L.W.
Services. The Pacific kit can re-run to order.
Coming from M.L.W. is a CNR 80' combine and a CNR K-5 Hudson.
S Scale Loco & Supply/Simon Parent will be coming out with a CNR H-6 class
ten wheeler as a semi-kit in the future.
The NASG recently had a run of full length AM HWT Pullmans done in the CNR
1954 paint sheme. I am sure if you look around, they can be still had or AM
may be reintroducing them to his line.
An SW1200 RS needs Flexcoil sideframes. The SHS SW1200 would work if you
changed the existing sideframes. Unfortunately, presently there are no
Flexcoils available commercially. If SHS does an SW1500 with Flexcoils, I
am assuming that you could use those. The spark arrestors may be available
from M.L.W. Services this year.
SHS does a really nice Consol that if slightly redetailed could pass for
CNR. Detail parts are available from M.L.W. Services.
Hope this helps and welcome to the wonderful world of S, eh?
cheers, eh?
