Peter, I would think using an older slide duplicator attachment on a
digital camera would work for 'basic' type stuff. I wouldn't expect any
kind of high quality work from it. You will find that many front
attachments will not physically fit the newer cameras that have bulges
in front. A good slide scanner is several hundred to a few thousand $
so using a $50 duplicator will give you what you paid for.

Selling photo stuff is pretty much a ebay thing now with only a few
regional camera shows left.. Just like trains some people will pay good
money for what some people consider junk. Other times you have some
neat stuff and nobody wants it. I would suspect that the film loader
and slide mounts are pretty much landfill items, unfortunately. Several
years ago Nikon gave away a Polaroid instant processor for a line of
35mm film when you bought a Nikon camera. The retail price was about
$100 and I produced some interesting 'art' type work. The last time I
checked ebay you couldn't sell them for $1.

This digital thing has taken over the mainstream faster than Nikon,
Kodak and I thought it would. Everybody had product in the production
lines as really good digital was taking root. Very much like those fine
steam engines from Lima in the later years still being useful but not
needed. I still have two 35mm film cameras, 2 view cameras, and two
specialty cameras plus film for all. I keep saying someday, I'll do a
trip and use it all up--perhaps wishful thinking.
