Bob and others, We were recently going through a bunch of 35mm stuff Carla inherited and it looks like ebay, the trash or take it to the church yard sale and forget about it.
It's unusual, but my 25 year old son recently went on a long weekend trip to the western part of the state and only took a 35 mm SLR film camera and B&W film, no less. He said he left his digital SLR at home. Actually the film camera is technically mine and is on semi-permanent loan, and I'm glad it's getting some use. He's also been developing B&W film at home in the basement, just like many of us with gray hair did years ago. I've pretty much abandoned film since I've had a DSLR. At least Carla no longer asks about the film taking up space in the refrigerator. This digital thing has taken over the mainstream faster than Nikon, Kodak and I thought it would. Everybody had product in the production lines as really good digital was taking root. Very much like those fine steam engines from Lima in the later years still being useful but not needed. I still have two 35mm film cameras, 2 view cameras, and two specialty cameras plus film for all. I keep saying someday, I'll do a trip and use it all up--perhaps wishful thinking.
