Peter: I remember you from your trip up here last year. This is a bit off
what you were asking but I have a Power Slide slide scanner from Pacific
images I bought a couple of years ago from B & H in NY for about $500. (An
outfit I do recommend, by the way) It looks like an old Kodak slide
projector with the slide trays. I does 50 slides at a time with a little
help and watchful eye. It takes about an hour plus to scan 50 slides to
3600 dpi resolution. It scans them and dumps them into your computer hard
drive as jpeg files. It is not the greatest but definitely good enough for
the 4000+ slides I have that are from the 70's and 80's. I am through about
1200 so far. Many are of trips to RR museums in California and new England.

You are in Oregon so are somewhat close. There is still the big camera swap
meet in Puyallup in late April. Check the Western Washington Fairgrounds web
for actual dates. You could drag the stuff up to sell but the likelyhood of
selling film stuff is questionable at best unless it says Leica on it.

Hi Bob, have a photo ? for you...have a Kalt slide duplicator I used with my
Nikon and Ricoh cameras...wonder if you have any ideas on using it with a
digital camera...would like to put stuff I have on slides onto a CD/DVD?

Also have a pile of slide and film stuff...like new, a film loader for
making your own cassets from 100' 35mm film roll etc, and professional 35mm
metal slide mounts and crimping tool from Germany - new. You have any ideas
where to sell these items or who might be interested?
