Jim, The biggest problem is getting the sound of the double exhausts at slow
speed. I havn't heard one yet. They have said Loksound has one but the guy that
has it can't get it adjusted for the exhaust. The whistles were steam boat and
some were the same as the Kanawha . I heard plenty in Columbus Oh. but the
memory is fading. Thanks Bert

Gentlrman, Has anyone put decoders and sound in an RR allegheny. If so what did
you use? Thanks Bert Cutler> Bert:I've installed an NCE 13SRJ in one of mine, no
problem. Sam McCoy has done several at DPV. I have not done anything with sound
yet and neither has Sam (to my knowledge), but I don't see it as a big issue.
Probably the main thing will be getting the right sound. I have not seen any
sound files for an Allegheny. I heard Rivarossi had one, but I have never heard
it.On the other hand, I never heard an Allegheny in the flesh, so maybe that
doesn't matter...!Jim K.
