It's not just little kids:

A previous boss has(d?) a habit of twirling #2 pencils with the eraser 
end in his ear.  You guessed it, yours truly had to fish it out without 
caving his ear drum.

While I was away in college my brother took my most pristine LNE Flyer 
hopper and drilled a hole through a center and mounted a light.  He was 
very proud and I was very displeased.
