My point exactly, Rich.
With the traditional blue box Athearn (don't know about the new stuff), you
got a solid performing, good looking little engine that was ready for
additional details/personalization at a modest price. That's exactly the
way I see the AM S-12's.(The only AM product I am familiar with.)
My comparison wasn't meant to be a slam of any sort.
