Should any of you seriously wish to learn more about what happened in
eastern railroading from the 60's through Y2K - probably the greatest
industrial turn around of the 20th century - I would highly recommend
the book "The Men Who Loved Trains" by Rush Loving. It's an easy read
that includes greed, intrigue and lust for power (the truth is always
more interesting than fiction!). One caution though... it will
challenge just about all the "facts" commonly held and repeated ad
nauseum on the Internet about RR's as a business.
