I think there are more PRR cinders and ashes in the north central region soil
than NYC cinders and ashes. At least I remember more PRR smoke than NYC while
growing up in Columbus Ohio John Armstrong

Thanks much for not propagating the CSX = NYC and NS = PRR lines myth! Here
in Indiana, the NYC/Big Four's Michigan/Marion Branch went to NS and the
NYC/LS&MS Chicago-Elkhart-Toledo mainline is also NS property. It's interesting
how many guys on the NYC lists miss that, as they claim ALL former NYC lines
went to CSX. Also, in Ohio, the former NYC/T&OC lines south of Columbus (West
Virginia Secondary) are also now NS, while the little bit remaining of the
NYC/T&OC north of Columbus are now CSX.

To be fair to the downtrodden PRR guys <vbg>, I've learned more about the
NYC/Toledo & Ohio Central from the PennsyWest group than I have on 3 NYC groups
combined, thanks both to a great bunch of guys, and also because of the
PRR/NYC(through T&OC subsidiary Zanesville & Western) joint operations of the
Zanesville [OH] Terminal.

Who still researches the Toledo & Ohio Central, but recently decided to model
the Winona [IN] Railroad instead.
