Go in there and cut the plastic clips on one end of the truck and take it off
that way....after that if it does not snap right back in place use the screws
that held the metal bracket back in the same spot without the metal bracket..

Becareful with the screw driver you can sink that some where about an inch deep
if it slips

Subject: {S-Scale List} Question About SHS Removing Truck Cover Plate

I am trying to change out the wheelset of my new SHS NW2. I have
never done one of these. I am following the instructions and I have
removed the coupler. I now need to gain access to the wheels to
replace them. The plastic cover at the bottom of the truck supposedly
snaps onto the metal support of the truck. I can see how that is done.

However, what I can't figure out is how to get that plastic cover to
snap *off* of the metal part of the truck. I am trying to use a small
jeweler screwdriver but I can't seem to get it in between the metal
and the plastic cover. I am doing this to the front of the truck.
What is the best way to open them?

I am afraid of being too rough and breaking the plastic cover. Any
help will be much appreciated. I've done a search on the web to see
if there are any pictures on how to do that, but came up empty.

  Thanks in advance,
  - Peter.
