Yes, I know about that. Chuck ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Lunde To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, January 13, 2009 6:34 PM Subject: Re: {S-Scale List} KD & SHS uncouplers
Chuck, What really helps is to use the smaller coupler spring for the centering spring that I believe Dick Karnes talks about. Steve Lunde ----- Original Message ----- From: C&PPorter To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, January 13, 2009 5:59 PM Subject: {S-Scale List} KD & SHS uncouplers I've used the HO between-the-rails perm mag uncouplers over the years with varying success. The biggest problem being the lack oenough pull to use the "delayed" feature. Two or three years ago I bought one of KD's #308 "HO" Magna-Electric uncouplers and somewhere I came up with a KD # 810 "O" scale Magna-Electric. I took a good look at them today wonder if they are worth the trouble to install. If you have used one or more of either of these uncouplers I'd like to know what your experience has been. !. Which ofnumbers, 309 or 810, have you tried? 2. Does it work any better than the HO perm mag ones? 3. Are you pleased and glad you installed it? 4. Any installation hints? 5. Or do you have a "Better Idea"? If so, please explain. Thanks for any help-Chuck Porter [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
