Jeff English and I just arrived in Toronto. We left Duluth around 10:30 am
Sunday July 25 and drove non-stop.
I can't speak for Jeff but it was a great time to see all my friends, have some
great talks and share a brew or two.
On Wednesday, Jamie Bothwell rented a couple of bikes and we rode around
Duluth. It was a great way to sight see.
The opening on Wednesday night in the RR museum was tops as was the food.
Being a dealer, I did not go on any tours but did hear that they were great.
Unfortunately, Friday was like a mausoleum in the dealer hall as 102 of the
125+ attending were on a tour.
I went to Tony Koester's Clinic on multi-level layouts and have decided to
redesign mine. Originally I was going to do Park Head, Ontario in the 1950's
then discarded it to accomodate the modular group that I am in. Now I am back
to Park Head with a vengeance. It is good to attend clinics.
The banquet food was excellent and Tony Koester had a great speech.
As usual the auction was action and Jamie kept us laughing over and over.
In all I would like to thank the boys of Minnesota for a great Convention. If
you weren't there, you weren't there.
cheers,
andy malette
