Hi all --

I will second Andy's comments (below) and add that the taconite and coal
plant tours were two of the best I have ever been able to attend. The
taconite tour guide was especially knowledgable and thorough. And there is
nothing like having nearly 60 tons of coal dumped right in front of your
eyes (15 feet or less) in just a couple of seconds!

The "preconvention" in Minneapolis was also fun, with many layouts and their
owners going out of their way to make us welcome. Ken Z. and Steve. D
deserve special rocognition for their hospitality and cooking, and Steve's
place on the lake is very special.

Ed L. also had us laughing when he gave the promo for next year's
convention --" I am not taking questions!"

Thanks to all that contributed!
Bill Winans

---The opening on Wednesday night in the RR museum was tops as was the food.
---The banquet food was excellent and Tony Koester had a great speech.
---In all I would like to thank the boys of Minnesota for a great
Convention. If you weren't there, you weren't there.
cheers,
andy malette
