Jim, Thanks for the picture, and yes I know that the B&O did have some signal bridges that are close to the one on Bill's site but I have never seen one that has the solid area where the vertical and horizontal intersection meet, I am pretty sure the B&O cantilever mast were all open lattice type of construction.

These cantilever masts are very similar to the C&O design, that could be a good thing. The C&O used a different signal head, but otherwise they probably work for both railroads.
