I agree with Bob, this idea has possibilities, BUT, remember the early
70's when Washington FORCED everyone to "ZONE"??? Now a costly, time
consuming process, mostly run by lawyers digging deep into the requesters'
pockets,
because they CAN. I understand that a hog farm in a residential
developement is not ideal, but, most zoning laws favor the wealthy "nimbys".
I
remember George H W Bush, who had no real connections to the people he
"served", during his presidency, remarked that "Zoning was counter
productive".
NOTHING changed, of course.
I often wonder how many millions of small businesses were NOT created
because of Zoning???
