OK, Gang:
I know this sounds crazy coming from someone who should know better, but I'm
working on a manuscript for publication and cannot keep inserted images in
proper position. I've use JPEG's, Bitmaps, various sizes and you name it, but
every time I close and save the file, whenever I reopen it to work on it, the
images look like someone played 52-pickup with them.
I realize I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but why won't photos and
graphics stay where I insert them, but end up everywhere and anywhere in the
manuscript but where they should be when I reopen the file.
What am I doing wrong? Aren't word processing programs capable of this (I use
Star Office 6), but, if so, why do they allow you to insert graphics in the
first place?
Offline replies and advice welcome. I'm getting tired of being drug through
this keyhole [backwords] every time I try to build a manuscript
