Nit picking tonight, I think my post referred to the tusan red diesels being the first diesel passenger units, not first diesel units. Thus both statements could be correct. My info is based solely on a Herron Video N&W tape, nice if you like the N&W. It didn't say so on the tape but I would imagine the first red units had steam boilers for heat in passenger cars which is why they first borrowed ACL E units instead of using their freight units. Thanks for the info on the black, freight units, good to know, especially the RS-3's.
